Barloworld Transport, a leading freight and logistics company, is looking fr a General Manager: Finance to join our depot in Germiston.
Description

The financial management and corporate governance of the Aspen business, to ensure accurate and timeous
financial information and analysis, in order to contribute to and execute the business strategy. Duties herewith
include:

  • Conduct financial analysis by reviewing and analysing management accounts, interpreting and providing commentary on the numbers, ensuring data integrity (incl. completeness, accuracy and validity).
  • Manage and facilitate accurate monthly and annual management account reports, ensuring that company reporting deadlines are met.
  • Present final management accounts to upward reporting structures.
  • Manage and facilitate the annual budget process within agreed deadlines.
  • Manage and facilitate the quarterly rolling plans (Plan 0 to 3).
  • Provide updated monthly budget forecasts to the Business Unit.
  • Maintain corporate governance by ensuring tax, legal, statutory and internal authority compliance.
  • Manage the internal and external audit process and ensure clean audit reports.
  • Prepare and present annual audit packs according to deadlines.
  • Effectively manage working capital incl. debtors, creditors and cash flow.
  • Effectively manage debtor agreements.
  • Implement and manage effective settlement discount policies and procedures.
  • Manage systems integrity and oversee the roll out and implementation of new financial systems and processes.
  • Identify and drive system and process enhancements throughout the Business Unit.
  • Manage financial planning requirements for tenders/ new business acquisitions/ expansion capex.
  • Drive the Smart Trucker employee value proposition process within the team.
  • Lead, manage, coach and mentor employees.
Profile
  • Matric / Grade 12.
  • Post graduate accounting degree (CA(SA), CIMA).
  • Minimum ten years' previous experience in a finance role.
  • Minimum five years' previous senior management experience.
  • Driver's license.
