Introduction
Barloworld Transport, a leading freight and logistics company, is looking for a Human Resources Manager to join our Kraaifontein depot.
Description

To implement all HR operations within the relevant business unit and/or functional department in accordance
with company policies and procedures. Duties herewith include:

 

  • Oversee and manage all driver and non-driver recruitment in line with the company's policies and procedure.
  • Manage all discipline and employee relations within designated area of responsibility according to company policies and procedures.
  • Manage and oversee the integrity of all payroll information (drivers and non-drivers) for non-compliance prior to payroll submission.
  • Understanding, articulating and communicating remuneration structures and benefits for drivers and nondrivers in line with the company remuneration philosophy.
  • Facilitate, oversee, support and capacitate the relevant business unit or functional support department on the employee performance management process to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Co-ordinate, schedule and manage driver and non-driver training interventions (including annual/new employee inductions and driver refresher training) according to company policies and procedures.
  • Co-ordinate and drive annual health and wellness campaigns in conjunction with the clinics and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate, track and co-ordinate annual and pre-employment medicals in conjunction with the clinics and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and manage employment equity/ skills development committees within the relevant business unit/ functional support department in accordance with the company's employment equity plans and legislation.
  • Implement the Smart Truckers employee value proposition model.
  • Champion employee engagement initiatives in conjunction with the internal communication team.
  • Understand and implement HR policies and procedures within relevant business unit and/or functional department.
Profile

 

  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • HR related degree.
  • Minimum five years' previous HR management experience in a labour intensive environment.
  • Knowledge of HR related legislation and practices.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Understand employment contract law and legislation.
  • Microsoft office.
  • Driver's license.
  • Passport advantageous.
